Sweeney said some real-time flight-tracking accounts haven't been banned, despite Twitter's policy. The college student had over 30 accounts banned after Elon Musk instituted a policy change. Since then, Sweeney has opened up a new personal account, as well as Twitter accounts that track Musk's private jet and Gov. Insider was able to identify multiple accounts on Twitter that shared real-time flight data but have not been banned. Sweeney pointed to accounts of top Musk critics like Aaron Greenspan that have been banned seemingly without any specific reason in recent months.

Twitter suspended the accounts of PlainSite and its founder Aaron Greenspan, a prolific Tesla and Elon Musk critic, on Tuesday afternoon. PlainSite is an online database that makes state and federal court filings and other public records available to users for free. Greenspan has meticulously tracked litigation by or against companies mostly in the U.S., including Tesla, Twitter (which Musk took private in an acquisition last year), as well as competitors GM , Meta and a myriad of others. The suspension stands at odds with public statements from Twitter's executive chairman and CTO Elon Musk, and newly-appointed CEO Linda Yaccarino. He also discussed some of the reasons why he started the "legal transparency initiative" PlainSite, and how he came to be regarded as an Elon Musk nemesis.

A Tesla critic said he is accepting Elon Musk's offer of $10,000 to resolve a defamation suit. Hothi had alleged the Tesla chief defamed him in an email claiming Hothi "almost killed Tesla employees." Elon Musk is settling a lawsuit filed by a Tesla critic who had accused the electric carmaker's chief executive officer of defaming him. Hothi and Tesla had been at odds for some time then, as Hothi had taken pictures of Tesla vehicles at their facility, Insider previously reported. Still, Musk around the time had then sent an email alleging that Hothi "actively harassed" Tesla employees and "almost killed" them, Hothi said.
